Every year hundreds of prone paddlers train for a 30 mile expedition between Catalina Island and the California coast, specifically Newport Beach
Training for months & raising money is essential to be able to even have a chance at participating in a trek so sacred
Together they prone paddler for hours on end, encouraging one another, and taking in the sights and sounds to finally arrive on the sandy beach of Newport.
All of this is done in remembrance of one lifeguard who sacrificed his life unknowingly to save someone in peril
